CTI PFAN Facilitates Solar Partnership between Indian and Thai Entrepreneurs

29 January 2015

The Private Financing Advisory Network (CTI-PFAN) has facilitated a partnership between Indian and Thai entrepreneurs to form a joint venture, Solar Solutions Company, Ltd. (SSCL) in Thailand. SSCL will set up an integrated solar facility with a manufacturing capacity of 100 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) cells and 50 MW of PV modules. The new company will also develop a 50 MW grid-connected PV power project. The Indian and Thai promoters of SSCL, including an Indian solar entrepreneur mentored by the PFAN team, signed a memorandum of understanding to form the new company on August 12, 2010. The group has secured in-principle approval for the initial investment of $40 million from The Board of Investment of Thailand.
