Private Sector Foundation of Uganda (PSFU)
The Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) is an apex body for the private sector in Uganda. It is made up of 144 business associations, corporate bodies and the major public sector agencies that support private sector growth. PSFU is a focal point for private sector advocacy as well as capacity building and sustains a positive dialogue with the Government of Uganda on behalf of the private sector. PSFU currently manages the private sector component of the Government’s Energy for Rural Transformation Project (ERT). This includes provision of business development support to: a) prospective renewable energy generation project promoters to advance their projects to financial closure; b) private sector organizations / industries to enable them implement energy saving and other power improvement measures.
